CHANGES

Ever since Miko works mid-shift, we're lacking of quality time together. I was unable to adapt myself at night without him for the 1st week. I fall sick. That bad! I was on MC for 2 days. I'm not use to the changes yet but somehow I have to! Miko on the other hand works in the wee hours and will reach home latest 5am. As for me, I woke up at 5.50am for work. Tell me about it.

Alhamdulillah. We have a full day on Sunday to be with each other. I really miss everything about Miko. Insyallah we can go through this. Maybe after 2 years of working, I'll ask him to search for a new better working hours job.

On the random note, my idol, Agnes Monica was hospitalized recently. I hope she gets well soon.

I wish that everyday is Sunday! =(

DREAM BELIEVE & MAKE IT HAPPEN

Agnes Monica, my idol. The moment she went LIVE on Ustream, I immediately logged in to my Twitter account (@ohpalin) and gave her a comment. I think, if I'm not wrong, I was the 3rd or the 4th to commented her on the LIVE chatbox. I wrote, " AGNES MONICA I LOVE YOU! WHEN ARE YOU GONNA COME TO SINGAPORE AND PERFORM A MINI CONCERT?". Of all questions. I was excited to see her. Of course I am because she's my all time favorite idol.

And then she spotted my comment and mentioned my name PALIN! I was absofuckinglutely happy to the core! She read out my comment LIVE worldwide and she replied, most prolly she will do a world tour!! It won't be just a mini concert. IT WILL BE GRAND!! Yeahhhh!! I'm all excited for it! I was tread on air last night! I was smiling widely to myself. And I posted another comment, I said, " AGNES, WHEN ARE YOU COMING TO SINGAPORE?". And she spotted my comment again, and replied, currently she's very busy. She's flying off to L.A soon.

*faints* You can say about me for all I care. You can say I'm lame or proud for just a pathetic replies from her. But it meant a lot to me. Just a reply from her LIVE on air is a big deal to me. She's been my inspiration and a role model. I love Agnes Monica. May she succeeds in her upcoming international album and definitely her world tour! =D

SINETRON MARISA

Today, at work, it was a mundane Monday like every other day. Nothing much at work so I managed to watch Sinetron Marisa on Youtube. Finally I completed the entire episodes! I love my idol. She's always gorgeous and very talented. This Sinetron is a must see. Now, I'm scratching head, wondering what else can I watch at work. Plus today, I was starving till I reach home because I just ate 2 slices of pandan cake. Save cost.

Also today will be husband's first day of his new job at The Club Hotel. At first, I was against this offer because of it's working hours. He starts work 5pm to 1am. 6 days work 1 day off. I start work 8am to 5pm. Meaning, we won't be spending time with each other often. By the time he reach home from work, I'll be in deep sleep. And when I'm working, he'll be sleeping like a log. Tell me about it. We need to sacrifice for each other for the sake of our future. Insyallah, we can go through this. Amin.

Meanwhile, I shall play my piano in my room to kill boredom. I want to buy a TV for my room. I don't want to sit in the living room with my mom. Erggh. I don't want to invite conflicts between us. I rather stay away from her. heheheheh =P

ON STRANGER TIDES

Watched Pirates Of The Caribbean with husband today at GV, JP. Initially, I was not in my very best mood to have a movie date with him because of certain issues that was excruciatingly corrupted my mood. However, it all vanished away a few hours later. Had LJS for lunch and Miko shaved his hair BOTAK. Overall the movie was, in my opinion, kinda boring. Some parts of the movie was hilarious but the story line was ummmm, ok? Ratings, 3 out of 5. Next, Transformers 3!!!

BATAM, INDONESIA

Our short getaway to Batam, Indonesia was great. It was a simple yet a mind relaxing trip for Miko and myself. Shopped alot and we ate alot too. It's worth $68 per pax package. Which includes 1 night stay at Golden View Hotel with breakfast, free Seafood lunch at Golden Prawn, 2-way ferry tickets, 2 way coach transfer from Ferry Terminal and free Go-Kart. Alhamdulillah, we came back Singapore safely. Our next vacation, Insyallah, it will be Boracay, Philippines.

BETTER LUCK NEXT TIME

I just got back from meeting Kak Ros. We had a good catching up. We talked about what's been happening in our life lately. She had her practical lesson and I had my TP today. We ended at the same time. Sadly, I failed during my virgin attempt. Kinda disappointed at first but I shall learn from my mistakes. Insyallah, the next time, I can do better. 1 month to reflect. =)

Yesterday, I met Kak Ros too. We hang out at Orchard. Initial plan was to go Johor but her passport is expiring soon. It's fun having her around. She's a great listener and I'm very comfortable taking to her about anything. Till the next meet up Kak Ros!

To celebrate my failure, I'm going Batam tomorrow! Ok, it's lame. Well literally, to celebrate my husband's good news of getting his Work Permit approve. Finally, alhamdulilah. It's been a year plus already. I guess, I shall take a good nap while waiting for him to be home.

FUN FUN FUN

So today, woke up darn early for driving. Miko didnt send me instead he's busy doing the laundry. Today's driving was quite funny actually. Did a couple of mistakes at the beginning but slowly, I was more confident. After drirving for 1 and half hours, Miko fecthed me at Bukit Gombak MRT. Decided to cab to Jurong East. (We've been cabbing here and there alot recently. Heeee!) Somehow, it's very hard to get a cab at Bukit Gombak. We ended up having a tiff while waiting for a cab. But it all vanished away in awhile. We managed to get a cab after 30 mins? -.-"

We had lunch at KFC before proceeding to the pool. I had a great day with Miko. We took a lot of pictures underwater and the outcome of it was HILARIOUS! After 1 and half hours of swimming and I'm tanned, we cabbed (AGAIN) home for a deserving nap.

At 6pm, we all went out to have a Mothers' Day dinner over at Java Village, Jurong Point. Mummy nagged at me for not giving her any present today as well on her birthday last February. I don't find it neccessary at all. I mean, why should I when she's treating me so differently from the other 2? Miko insisted to buy something but I just say, I don't care and if Miko wants to get something, so be it. I'm not involving in this present giving session. I love my mother but I just cant talk to her about anything or even be close to her. Because in return, I will only get a non-stop naggings and dressing down. Pfft!

You look like a walking broomstick. A dreadful one indeed. Opppss I did it again! =D

More videos on Miko's Facebook page. =)

SHOP TILL DROP

It's Polling Day! BUT, I'm not eligible to vote. Alhamdulillah, it didn't rain at all. Miko and I took Express bus 502 to Orchard. It's a loooooonnngg ride and I was feeling kinda nausea due to the bumpy ride. Stop by at Lucky Plaza to send money to mama and ate Carol.

Then, we went to have late lunch at Ngee Ann City, Seoul Garden. It's been donkey's years I tell you. Afterwhich, we cabbed to Bugis. Didn't want to shop at Orchard because most of the stuffs there are quite expensive. So we get our ass to Bugis and shopped till drop. Bought 2 long skirts, a black jean, 1 watch and an ankle boot. Whereas, husband bought himself a slipper.

Our legs were tired after all the walking, so we decided to call it quits and cabbed home. Had an awesome day with husband. Thank you for all the stuffs you bought for me! Alhamdulillah. I love you!

A BROTHER LIKE THAT

Shuaib received a car from his brother as an Eid present. On Eid day when Shuaib came out of his house, a poor street child was walking around the shiny new car, admiring it. “Is this your car, Uncle?” he asked. Shuaib nodded. “My brother gave it to me for Eid.” The boy was astounded.

“You mean your brother gave it to you and it didn’t cost you nothing? Boy, I wish…” He hesitated. Of course Shuaib knew what he was going to wish for. He was going to wish he had a brother like that. But what the lad said jarred Shuaib all the way down to his heels. “I wish,” the boy went on, “that I could be a brother like that.” Shuaib looked at the boy in astonishment, then impulsively he added, “Would you like to take a ride in my automobile?” “Oh yes, I’d love that.”

After a short ride, the boy turned and with his eyes aglow, said, “Uncle, would you mind driving in front of my house?” Shuaib smiled a little. He thought he knew what the lad wanted. He wanted to show his neighbours that he could ride home in a cool car. But Shuaib was wrong again. “Will you stop where those two steps are?” the boy asked. He ran up the steps. Then in a little while Shuaib heard him coming back, but he was not coming fast. He was carrying his little crippled brother. He sat him down on the bottom step, then sort of squeezed up against him and pointed to the car.

“There it is, little brother, just like I told you upstairs. His brother gave it to him for Eid and it didn’t cost him a penny. And some day I’m gonna give you one just like it…then you can see for yourself all the pretty things in the shop windows that I’ve been trying to tell you about.”

Shuaib got out and lifted the boy to the front seat of his car. The shining-eyed older brother climbed in beside him and the three of them began a memorable ride. That Eid, Shuaib learned what the RasulAllah SAW meant when he had said: “Love for your brother what you love for yourself”.

It moved me to tears reading this. I don't know why. I feel the pinch. Am I being egoistic towards my own sister? Sigh.. Maybe it's just her.

SHUT UP AND DRIVE!

I enrolled my class 3A driving 2 years ago. I failed BTT 4 times. I know it's mortifying. I passed BTT on my 5th attempts in 2009. I booked my FTT numerous times but I'm always absent on my test dates. At that time I was busy working part-time and I didn't study anything for FTT. Finally with the help of my husband, I studied almost everyday. Alhamdulillah, I passed during my first attempt. Ironic isn't it? BTT failed numerous times but passed FTT in a single shot. Considered myself lucky. hehehe.. Practicals has been a-okay. Improving day by day with the help of a professional and experienced driving instructor. And finally, I'm going for my virgin Traffic Police Test in a week time. Nervous much? Definitely! I don't want to put high hopes. I will give my best and will accept the results given. Crossfingers!! Insyallah pass.

MAY SHIT

It's finally May. And today is a Public Holiday; Labour Day. Went out for driving in the morning which my instructor told me that my driving today was bad but not too bad. Yah I think so too. Need to buck up! TP is around the corner.

Afterwhich, Miko and myself went JP for a brunch at LJS. I'm craving for it. We roamed around JP (for 2hrs) until my legs were effing tired , we bought a waterproof camera for our upcoming vacation. Well not only for vacation but for future needs, we bought our facials products then we decided to have a pit stop at Mc Donald for another brunch. I eat alot and that's explain how fat I am now. We waited for the time to strike 3.30pm and bought popcorns and drinks. Because our movie, Fast And The Furious 5 was at 3.50pm. Yup! We waited that long in JP just to watch the show. It's worth waiting though. It was an awesome movie! I had a great day with Miko but as soon I reach home.

I opened my make-up drawer and found out that my make up went missing! I was infuriated! Tell me about it. It was my only make up kit. My blusher, my compact powder my eye-liner etc etc. How can it be missing? I've been searching high and low for it yet to no avail. I cried so badly. I don't care if you want to say I'm being emotional over make-ups. It's just that, it's my personal stuffs, and I bought that using Miko's money. It's not free for goodness sake. And it's still brand new. I bought it 2 months ago. I jolly well remember I took it out from my bag the last time I brought it to Botanical Garden last Wednesday. After that day onwards, I didn't even use my make-up and left it in the drawer. Ironic isn't it? Sigh. Where in ther world is my make-up. That bitch who took it, may you have a series of a life time agony. Arrrghhh!
